Everything can be made so that it sucks less. There's a group working on that as of now actually, it's literally called suckless.org. Go check out their works by the way, they make some awesome software and give good software suggestions too. For example, Dillo was one of their suggestions, catgirl too, which is the IRC client I use. These are great software, they let you change the source code, compile your own version, and they mostly follow the idea of "Worse Is Better". And I like that actually, for someone who has lost most of his HOPE in humanity because of the idiocracy and the love for slop, knowing that people out there actually make software that isn't just some fuck ass slow ass broken and full of AI slop, gives me HOPE. Honestly stuff like, FOSS, FLOSS, suckless.org, these are great, these are actually awesome. I mean you don't need to ditch everything and only use FLOSS shit, but I prefer using FLOSS shit whenever I can, especially when it's suggested by suckless.org. Speaking of suckless.org...

suckless.org is a group of people that try to write software that simply does not suck, in their words:

And let me tell you that is one of the truest shit said about software and the IT Sector till today dawg. Software today is bloated, written in a programming language with a shitty fucking compiler and it will crash after you click on it a few times. It is fucking crazy to me how this shit is the fucking standard. Closed source binary software that is very unoptimized and will somehow brick your fucking PC by melting your CPU because it runs 500 while loops in the back for no fucking reason. But instead of doing some moronic shit like that, they instead write their Software in C, the HOLY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE. And they write their shit minimal. Because guess what, minimal is good, in their words:

Oh shit, I think I just came. But yeah, you get the idea, suckless.org is a project that simply makes software that sucks less. And I fucking love them for that. No, seriously, do you know how hard it is to find software that doesn't suck these days? It's HARD! VERY FUCKING HARD!
I use a few suckless stuff daily, for example, my window manager is dwm, dwm made me realize how much unneeded bloat a lot of window managers have that slow shit down or break stuff for no reason a lot. dwm also allowed me to fix broken apps by changing the source code of it and recompiling dwm, since dwm is made with the idea of recompiling it, it's very easy to do changes and then recompile it. I also use st, and I'm not even going to lie to you, using st made me realize how much fucking bloated a lot of terminal emulators are with a lot of features that I don't use. Like the only patch I did for st is the alpha patch. Nothing else, that's the only extra feature that I needed from st. And for comparison, while something like kitty or alacritty uses 100 to 500 MBs of memory, st only uses 10 MBs of memory. 10 MBs! That's fucking outrageous! If it could have used this much low amount of memory from the start, what the fuck is kitty or alacritty doing in the background that makes it use fucking half a gigabyte of memory? What the fuck? Do you have any idea how stupid it sounds when you say some bullshit like "Oh yeah my terminal emulator uses half a gigabyte of memory"? I'll tell ya, YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ARE A FUCKING MENTALLY DISABLED PERSON! I honestly think that you need mental help if you advertise bullshit like "UNUSED RAM IS WASTED RAM" no it's not you fucking stupid. Fatty. Fatty fatty. Adopted. No parents. SHUT UPP!!! Uhm, back to the main topic. I also use dmenu for launching stuff, it only needed a patch for also launching .desktop files, which is okay. Sometimes it doesn't tho, but that's low key okay because I can just write a script that opens the app and open that as a package instead. I use Dillo, catgirl, aerc, they were great suggestions made by suckless honestly. As I said, go check them out, they really know their shit.
